“Atlaidai are a type of Lithuanian pilgrimage in which believers from a parish and its surrounding cities, towns villages and further districts come to a particular church to pray and take part in an event.

Out of around 15,000 shots, selected about 200 photos which work like a film, taking you back to those times when the trees were sacred, horses were our helpers and friends, the church promised remission of sins and provided an opportunity to meet other people.”
